CHANGE AT SENOVA AS JEREMY TAYLOR STEPS BACK

Jeremy Taylor, Senova’s Managing Director, has retired after almost 51 years in the seed trade.

Having spent 35 of those years with Senova, which was previously known as Semundo and SW Seeds, Mr Taylor stepped aside at the end of June.

While he will continue to offer support to the Senova team in a consultancy capacity, his MD ole and responsibilities have been passed on to Tom Yewbrey, who was formerly the company’s sales manager.

All future correspondence relating to varieties and sales should be directed to the Senova office via email or by calling 01223 890777.

During Jeremy’s time at Senova, the company introduced market-leading cereal and oilseed rape varieties, as well as taking on the marketing of top-performing pulse varieties.

Part of the Harley Seeds Group, Senova will continue to bring new varieties and products to the UK market and the management team is excited about the prospects ahead.

Greater emphasis on the role of varieties and genetics in solving agronomic challenges and reducing the farming industry’s reliance on chemical inputs means that the future for the independent seed company is bright, stresses Tom Yewbrey.

“Jeremy made a huge contribution during his time at Senova,” says Tom “We are enormously grateful to him and intend to build on the legacy he has left”.

“We have a busy time coming up, with some innovative varieties to launch, so we look forward to continuing to work with him, as required, on future projects” .
