High yielding feed barley
NOS Gambit is a very high yielding RL feed variety.
It performs exceptionally well, particularly in the East and West, with yields above most malting varieties. NOS Gambit also has a superb untreated yield, as shown by its excellent disease resistance.
NOS Gambit has short, stiff straw with excellent brackling resistance and is relatively early to ripen.
With excellent grain quality- a high specific weight and very low screenings, NOS Gambit should be a popular feed barley choice. Growers can achieve yields above or equivalent to the existing malting and feed types, but tailor their inputs and reduce management costs to grow for the feed market.
